Calabash’s coastal art and home décor gallery
If you’re looking for fantastic local art from Calabash and Brunswick County artists, you’ve found the right place.
Our boutique gallery is where local artists sell their work to people living in or visiting Calabash. And it’s where you can pick up coastal artworks to decorate your home, or artisan gifts to delight your friends and family.
You’ll find original paintings, pottery, driftwood art, shell figurines, jewellery, glassware, cards, soft fabrics, textiles, even coastal furniture … too much to fit in here. All lovingly handmade by talented artists.
As you’d expect from a coastal town, our art has a strong nautical and coastal theme to it. But don’t think that means you’ll be short of choice. Far from it. You’ll find plenty of variety to suit all artistic tastes and preferences. We’re certain you will find what you need to create your own unique home décor.

Supporting local artists
When you buy from our shop, you’re making a real difference to an independent artist. Nearly all of our artists live in our community or within Brunswick County, and we deal directly with them ourselves.
That said, we sometimes find a piece at an art festival or market further away that we know is too good not to bring back into the shop so you can make it yours.
Shipping your handmade coastal art safely
If you’re just passing through and aren’t able to bring your art home yourself, don’t worry. We ship nationwide and worldwide.
So if you find a piece of art you love, we can send it to you safely and securely.
Information for local artists
We have an open-door policy for local artists. So, if you have artwork you’d like to show us, we’d love to see it. Come on in and have a chat. We’ll be open and honest with you. We know what sells, and if your work fits in, we’ll happily stock it.
We sell on commission, and we’ll stay in touch with you to let you know how customers are responding to your work.
While the shop is spacious, it’s important that we make sure we use the space to the full. That means if work isn’t selling, we have to replace it with art that has a better chance of being bought.
Of course, we’re more than happy to guide you in this. We want you to succeed. After all, your success is our success too.
