OUR STORY
We are a family-owned and operated small business that has served the Calabash and surrounding beach areas for over 70 years. The property was once the home of Moore’s Grocery, a hub and staple of Calabash for many years. The store sold gas, groceries, hardware, fishing supplies, and much more.
It was the local “general store” and if you didn’t want to drive to Shallotte or Myrtle Beach to find what you needed, Moore’s probably had it. It was the place everybody went to at some point of their week and the place where local information was gathered and shared.
Our extensive history in the photography business made transitioning into a unique local art and gift shop a natural move.
Our store carries paintings, pottery, woodwork, books, all by local artists and authors. We have an eclectic selection of wines both domestic and foreign by the glass or bottle. We offer family and children portraits, on beach and other locations.
